Good morning from the peach state. I’ve been coming to this forum for 4 years now to troubleshoot. Now I have an account. I’ve found round about answers in the past but decided I could do more by asking my specific questions. Also I do everything myself. But I’m guilty of and frankly tired (broke) spending all my $$ in the professional pool stores who tell me I need to run my pump 24/7 from open to close. So to open this year I stopped my Walmart and grabbed hth products. I look forward to all of your expertise and becoming a proficient at home pool lady. ☺️

Welcome. Hold off on the urge to start dumping chemicals in the pool until you get accurate test results from a good test kit. Just work on keeping the pool chlorinated for now. The best value in test kits is the TF-100. You'll find a link in my sig. The other option is the Taylor K-2006C. The cost of the kit is about the same as a couple bottles of magic potions from the pool store.

Best of luck!
