New Filter - looking for best sand to buy

I am replacing my filter with a larger sand filter. What should I be looking for (specs) when buy the sand and what should I expect to pay.? I do see some posts, but they are 4 or 5 years old. I haven't bought sand in probably 8 years. LOL. The filter is a Hayward S244T. 300 lbs of sand needed.

Use #20 silica sand, sometimes simply called pool filter sand. Sometimes products will be labeled .45-.55 mm. One example HERE - the HTH brand pool sand is about $13 for a 50lb bag.
