New fiberglass pool

Hi tomsaw, Just seeing this post now. VERY sorry to hear about the issues. Notices that the posts just stopped, so am curious (as I'm sure others are) how it went in late June (and beyond)? As an owner of a FG pool that has encountered many problems due to a terrible install, I can't stress enough that proper (and extremely thorough) base preparation PRIOR to setting the pool is absolutely critical, otherwise you are looking at a future of potential major issues. I hope that your next post will be on a happier note and that the installer did the right thing and lifted that pool up and prepped the base to perfection before re-setting. Please let us know.

Toofast: great video, what an awesome job the installer did on your base prep!

Well I had the factory rep out to look at the pool awhile back ,he said everything was ok with it . I gave up trying to get it the way it should be . I have the retaining wall built around half of it and the concrete poured . I told the concrete man I wanted the smoothest broom finish he could do . Ha , it's got to be the roughest job out of him I have ever seen . I have been smoothing the surface down with one of those carborundum rubbing blocks trying to get it so my wife can walk on it . I'm waiting on the electrician now to work on the electric . I've been running on extension cords from my barn until now . I wish it could just all go away .this has been the worst summer I have ever had .

hi. well, i was really hoping that your reply would be along the lines of full replacement. sounds like you can't catch a break here on the pool, concrete, etc. i am trully starting to believe that quality in workmanship in the trades is disappearing in our country, and i am seeing/hearing/experiencing this to be so much more true in the pool industry. it's sad and frustrating. trust me when i say that i can empathize with your situation. i hope everything works out for you in the end with no future issues. best of luck!!
