Yes, the calcium has helped my waterline stay pretty it seems. I’m amazed that we had tons of rain a few weeks ago and I had to drain water. Now it’s been a hot drought and with lots of swimmers … now the water is low.
My neighbor has some of this monkey grass around his house that I can have to split up. I think I will plant 3 big spots in my rocks by the pool.

Everyone had fun playing volleyball this weekend and then cooling off in the pool. That area has really been nice.

Update: our pool has been great after having it for a year and a half. We use it all the time! All the landscaping and grass has really done well. Our concrete continues to fade and blend it nicely, although it isn’t perfect. It has started to crack where we added the extra area for the lounge chairs. It probably needed a saw cut joint there. There is also a small crack over the buried electrical lines. I also had some concrete crack around the edge of the pool when I power washed this spring. It just seems weak around the very edge of the pool in a few spots. I removed one spot and added some concrete patch which fixed it up nicely. The water has been a breeze with TFP, but i’ve had some slight iron staining. I will try again this fall with another AA treatment and polyfil removal. My Pentair Warrior SE died but they sent me another motor assembly for free, luckily it was still covered under the 2 year warranty. I recently added some low voltage LED landscaping lights and it really makes it pop out there at night. We also got 2 clearance basketball goals at the end of last season to upgrade to full court in the shallow end this year. I just got the updated price list from my PB for a friend and my 50k pool would now cost 65k and it is a 2.5-3 year wait!

Here are a few more pics of the backyard. I’m so glad I buried the downspouts before install, it stays dry and the grass grows much better now. The landscaping rock and flowers there make it look nice looking from the pool. The ornamental grass really filled in the big area in the landscaping by the pool and is easy to maintain. I’m a teacher and today was my last day at school, I’m ready to relax by the pool all summer! This site has helped owning a pool truly “Trouble Free!”
