Please help! I've gotten 3 different quotes from 3 companies. 1st one claims he can do the coping alone for $3,100. Second guy says must do the tile also, total price $5100. Third company tile and coping $12,000. Anyone with any info on what is reasonable here. The prices vary so much and I just don't know what is normal for the area. Has anyone done just their coping and was it successful? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I live in Northern Virginia and my pool is a little larger.

I got a quote for tile $3036 (plain in stock), coping (I needed special coping because of how my A&S pool was built) $4787 and redo expansion joint $920. It is difficult to just to do the coping without damaging the tile.

The majority of the regional pool companies sub out this work. I went with a company that is in MD, but most of the regional pool companies use them as a sub. I cut out the middle man... but that means I have to schedule the other things myself like getting water trucked in when they are finished.
