New chlorine vinyl pool

I am so confused about all the things chlorine, free chlorine, sanitize, algea size lol....
At this point, liquid vertex yesterday
Free chlorine with in level so is alkaline and PH.

Just need encouragement and tips for economical and healthier option for a great pool season.
