New Build - Leak?

Hi Everyone,

We are about one week after plaster now. We noticed this dark spot above the skimmer start about 5 days ago. PB did a dye test yesterday and said no leaks, but it seems to be growing about a half inch a day so the water is coming from somewhere. He thought it was a stain but I disagree.

He is going to come back and do another dye test tomorrow. Looking for any advice on how to handle this. I dont see any cracks or other issues with the skimmer or around the tile near the skimmer.

It is not a stain and will be challenging to find and fix.

Dye testing is likely to be inconclusive.

Water is wicking up from the skimmer box to the coping.

Look into the skimmer box from the pool side. Look for missing grout sealing the edges of the skimmer box with the skimmer.

You may have to pop off the coping to see where the water is coming up from.

This part seemed wet inside of the skimmer box. I wonder if its wicking up here somehow. The wet spot didnt start until the water was agitated quite a bit on day 3 and then started growing.

Was a membrane placed between the top of the bond beam and the coping ?
