New build in South Texas

A couple of updates:

You don't hear this happening much, but the PB did not like the way one of the travertine decks lined up with the steps and had the installer pull it off and re-level the sand base. The pavers will be re-installed next week. The PB is completely waterproofing the entire shell as well as the other side of the infinity wall. Infinity walls should always be sealed on both sides. He wanted one of his guys to do a test patch on one of my retaining walls and the poor guy miss understood, and did the whole wall which is about 85 feet in total.
The Equinox (brand name) builder/owner is coming down from San Antonio tomorrow (yes Sunday) to check out the build site. He is fabricating the pergola. The pergola has aluminum slats that are solar powered and will open and close electronically. You can have the slats opened at any angle or closed completely so rain will not enter. This will be 18'x22' and will cover our kitchen and eating area. It will also house our 55" TV.
I also had a discussion with my PB and told him I want his SS number so I can claim his as a dependent :D:D because he has been here so long (in the eighth month) and we really need him to finish this up. The end of April is the target now.

OK, this pool is CRAZILY amazing! I was getting ready to go to bed and thought I'd take a quick glance at your pics and couldn't stop til I got to the end. I can't wait to see the finished product - FABULOUS!! (BTW, I know some people aren't lovers of the in-floor cleaner, but we love ours. This is our first winter with the pool but I decided to set the cleaner/pump to run at night since we had so many freezes here in TX this winter. I figured since the pump was already running alot at night due to the cold weather (mine is set for 35 degrees), I might as well save a little power during the day.) Again - you're pool is looking awesome!

Thanks for the kind words. Like you, we wanted to go with a in ground cleaner. This is my third pool and I used a Polaris, and robot in my other pools and did not like either one of them. They did a decent job of cleaning but I did not like having them in the pool, getting hung up on the stairs and cleaning the bag. This pool will have a huge mosaic on the bottom and any other cleaner would detract from the beauty of it.
 
The Pergola builder showed up as promised Sunday morning. He will go back to San Antonio and start the fabrication. For those of you living on the coast or where a hurricane may strike, the system is wind storm certified and will withstand winds of 150mph.
 
Yours is coming along nicely, but it does drag doesn't it? I'm really looking forward to seeing yours done as well. One of the most beautiful builds going on the forum that I've seen. Very nice indeed.
 
The PB is starting to install the stacked stone on the exterior of the raised beams and on the infinity wall. The exterior mini waterfalls will cascade down the wall into the basin which feeds the water back into the larger catch basin for the infinity wall.
