New build in Highland Village HELP

PoolGate
My thought is gas for the hot tub and some sort of spill into the pool. obviously in Texas we have an extended swim season so might as well use it as much of the year as possible.
Im thinking cartridge filter, seems much simpler and straight forward. although looking for input.
No idea on size of either yet, I, expecting the 2 pb to have designs this week, hopefully meeting the third early this week.

Ive been reading all through the forum and a new question popped up since i want to make sure everything is in the contract.
All the piping should it be 2" I've seen this question quite a bit that there is a mix of 2" and 1.5" but needs to be a full loop for pressure equalization.

The builders I'm looking at i found through our neighborhood website and hours of web searching and research.
Im still debating on calling a fourth that i found.

With a hot-tub you have to go gas so good choice! My research showed cartridge filters are the best and is what I bought. Size is based on pool volume and the manufacturer will tell you what is appropriate. You can always go larger.

what a beating this has been....
The PB were leaning toward is really pushing sta rite, says Pentair bought them out which is true and that pentair has put the sta rite stuff into their stuff.

Any experiences with sta rite? from what I've searched and found pentair does own them and works with all the pentair automation.
Just looking for input, experience etc

thanks

U mentioned about audio. The easytouch has nothing to do with audio. The screenlogic app has justcthe basics. Lights on and off and color selections. Schedules. Times. Pump ramping speed. It's easy to use. Apple Watch app since u like bells and whistles. Audio is completely separate on ur own. Do u have any ideas yet. I cAn help u with that geeky stuff I design full home audio and video distribution systems and dedicated media rooms. I will say try to get some cat 6,runs out to the pool area. Also if u can get a 4 wire used for thermostats out to panel u can ditch the wireless easytouch piece and use the wired version. That way never drop outs. Save u a couple hundred too. The adaptor is suppose to be inside by router or connected to a cat wire that gpes to ur wire. The 4 strand wire I mentioned goes from the little pentair box to the easytouch panel for control. U can put that box inside the easytouch box and hook it up with a cat5 or 6 from outside but pentair doesn't recommend it. Plus if u need to trouble shoot the box is with ur internet stuff already.

Audio. Simple a setereo receiver with some speakers hooked up to it. If u can get an internet one and get a signal too it they most have Spotify and pandora and such. Next would be Sonos. Everyone here loves it. It is a great bang for the buc! If u have steuctured audio in ur house already then u would add a zone off that. After Sonos u are in the Nuvo and Russians world. They r pretty much more expensive Sonos at this point but if u are already in thier camp in ur house then it's the best choice.

The family has wanted a pool for years and i finally caved.
Have many many questions as were just getting started. We've had 2 builders out so far, waiting on the third.
I have read and researched until my eyes hurt. once i think i know what i want i find a new con that makes me question what i was thinking.

Planning on a tropical lagoon, and recommended builders?

Salt vs Chlorine. My understanding is salt is easier to maintain as I'm a newbie to all this, so i need simple.
I had my mind made up and now understanding that the salt may eat the rock, decking and coping. the i hear that maybe Oklahoma stone may be adequate? its more dense?

Looking for a fully automated setup to run from my iPad or iPhone. would like it to be very intelligent, maybe even test water self automate?
I travel quite a bit and don't want to leave the wife to try and figure it out

From what I've read pentair is the way to go for pump(inteliflow), Cartridge filtration, heater etc.

when i talk to the builders i get completely different opinions, the only think they agree on is Pentair

All the help is greatly appreciated.
My builder was Clarity Pools from Aubrey, they did a great job !
