New build - Houston, TX

Gunite today- plenty of delay with rains- 2 weeks after dig.
Unfortunately the news is showing 2 disturbances in the Gulf and predicting more rain. Keep positive and ensure the PB does not cut corners trying to finish.

Not much I can tell if they are cutting corners... everything looks ok... long pipes and gas line went in day before. Waiting for city inspection.
The pipes are pressurized- dropped from 28psi to 27 psi over 2 days... is that acceptable?

Looks good. Keep these pictures for future troubleshooting. Hopefully you never have to refer to them but good to have. Temperature effect on pressure test is probable cause.

Looks great. Nice and big layout.
The only thing I see that I would challenge is why did they use flexible hose for your booster pump. I had that and they constantly leak due to vibration over time. I had my hard plumbed. You may want to review that.

Do you have your TF-100 test kit or the Taylor K-2006? Test your fill water so you can set your base line of your new fill?
Are you measuring your water volume?

It is not critical and probably too late now to measure your fill volume. Some have commented on other new builds that if you note your water meter when you start to fill and then after when pool is full you can get a good estimate of your true water volume. You would need to deduct standard usage such as x gals for a bath/shower per person, x gals for dishwasher, etc. Not critical but it does help to ensure you have a good estimate on your Pool Math app when you need to determine chemical additions.

You should measure time to fill to certain levels - like to bottom of last step. at level of bench, at level of second step, etc. All of that info should be kept so if you have to drain water in the future, you have some conception of time to drain down to a certain level and refill. Just helps to manage your time to do certain things in the future. Again, not critical but it helps in the future.
