Welcome to TFP! You have one of those magic builds - all complete in one read!

I'm dying to see more! You can use Flickr for posting pictures or better yet, become a supporting member for additional photo space. It's one-time dues and three levels of membership to choose from (cheaper than yearly membership to the big warehouse stores!) Click on the 'Support TFP' button at the top left of the page.

Are you planning to manage your pool water yourself? People here will teach you all for free; it's easy to learn and do; it saves you money on chemicals; it's much less expensive than a pool service. And, you will know your water is chemically safe, because you test it yourself.

That liner will give you beautiful water!!

Take care,
Suz

Hi. Yes it is grey granite. I went back and forth with that and sandstone. I decided that my pool was not big enough to get the nice effect of sandstone. I thought I might see too much brown. So far I'm loving the color. Shade and sun. I will post more pics if I can figure it out. I know how hard it is to pick a liner. What other ones are you looking at?

Thanks Suz! We have been relying on the pool company that installed our pool so far but I would like to get to the point of managing it on my own. It was installed in May. We just received the kit so I'm looking forward to getting started. Thanks for the tip on pics. How do I get Flickr? I'll look at supporting TFP as well.

Sorry, I haven't set anything up on Flickr. I used PhotoBucket for 100's of pictures I posted on TFP. I don't know if you heard about it, but PhotoBucket locked up all forum (not just TFP) pictures. To release them within the forums, they want each account to pay $399.00.

So many of use are trying to decide the best way to go. I have too many pictures for TFP's photo saver, and Imgur states clearly in their Terms of Service that if they choose, they can do the same as PhotoBucket. I haven't had time to check Flickr's terms of Service. There's talk out there that eventually the current photo hosting sites will end up the same. Sighhhhhhhh......

Just make sure you back up your pool photos (any other photos, too, for that matter) on a cloud, flash drive, something! For you at this point, using TFP would be the easiest.

Anytime you're ready to manage your water, let us know. I'm a common sense, no non-sense person, and I strongly believe TFP is the way to go. It's one of the last free things given away on the web. You buy the test kit and the chemicals, and you save hundreds over the course of a year and sooner. All the teaching and advice is free. (well, I can send you my address...... LOL!!! I'm kidding, I'm kidding! :laughblue:

Let us know if we can help in any other ways!
Suz

How do I get Flickr?
go to flickr.com and sign up for a free account

Once you upload pictures:

click on "you" on the top, then "Photostream"

click the image you want to post here (it opens in a separate window)

click the curved arrow pointing to the right ("share photo" appears if you hover the mouse over it)

you'll see "BBCode" underlined (if not click it)

copy the code (text) in the box

You can then paste it into a post (the image won't appear until you post the message).

If you want to you just paste the part that has the following (but not necessary). The entire text from the box has extra info not needed like album, your name, from Flickr. No big deal to leave it. I changed the link to "ccccc" so you could see the code. But once you post it shows the picture to viewers who are logged in.

Hope this helps, took me a half hour to figure it out :) Example of the code that displays the image:

@Jillg, your pool looks great! We think we're going with the gray granite liner too. Can you post any more pics of your pool? How does it look on a cloudy or overcast day, or in the evening? Too dark? Can children still see toys on the pool floor that they're diving for? Thank you! We like the sandstone too...not really a fan of the aqua color though, but light seems "safer" and easier for kids to swim in. Help!
