Hello TFP!
I am a new pool owner and I am currently in the process of remodeling my pool. The pool is about 20 years old and I am in the process of having it resurfaced (Stonescapes), tiled, and will be replacing the older sand filter (Pentair Triton II) to a Hayward 425 cartridge filter + a Waterco MultiCyclone pre-filter. I am excited to start from fresh because I do not think this pool really got the love it needed over the past 20 years.
I want to make sure I am protecting my investment and having the best pool possible to enjoy for years to come. I am a bit overwhelmed with trying to understand how many gallons my pool is, best estimate is 10k - 13k gallons because it is an "odd" shape with no real edges like a rectangular pool. I understand I need to know these numbers to utilize pool math so I can follow an accurate chemical dosing schedule. I am going to dive into the pool school section of TFP and am excited to be a part of this community.
I am looking forward to learning from everyone here!
