New at balancing chemistry

Hi Everyone,
I am really new at this pool thing still. I am hoping that someone can help. I just want to confirm the pool math results. recent flooding rains have really skewed my water chemistry!
Here are my test results using the TF Test Kit
FC 1
CC .5
TC 1.5
CYA 60
PH 8.2
TA 200!

Per pool math it says to add:
29% of 6% bleach (can't find 8.25%)
8.9 oz of 31.45% Muriatic Acid
3.7 oz of conditioner

I am a bit nervous about adding that Muriatic Acid - any suggestions on how to do it safely?
Thanks so much in advance.
Happy 4th of July!
Dana

Hey Dana! For the acid, pour slowly at the return jets with pump on high to help it mix. Brush a bit if circulation is poor or needs help. Try to keep the pH in the mid-7 range. Elevated pH can make the iron in your well water angry. :grrrr: For the bleach, even if it's only 6% that's okay. Just make sure it's always plain/regular. Also add it near the return jet(s) slowly, but not at the same time as the acid. Separate by about 10-15 minutes with good circulation. Keep the FC balanced with the CYA as seen on the [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]. Remember, PoolMath is your friend. :) Happy 4th!
