Need to turn on pool pump with heater? Screenlogic

If I turn on my pool heater using my screen logic app, It doesn't show that the pool pump goes on (state grey).

Do I need to click on the pool pump as well as shown in the picture and make it green formit to hear?

You must have the pump running in Pool Mode, and at a sufficient rpm to trigger the pressure switch, for the heater to run.

I need to manually turn the pool pump on when I turn the heater on and screen logic. Is that normal?

Also, what does the temperature on the heater indicate? I have the screen logic app. Set the heater at 81. It's showing 79 on the heater box and then 73 cool temperature in screen logic

The heater will run when the pump is running in Pool Mode. You have to schedule the Pool Mode to run during the times you want the heater to run.

The temperature showing on the heater should be the temperature of the water running into it. It should closely match the water temperature showing on Screenlogic as the actual water temperature.
