Need to SLAM but..

I was about to SLAM my pool but the CYA is testing as 0 or at least below 20. Unfortunately I cannot add CYA until tomorrow as pool store is closed. That being said do I add start SLAM based on 20 CYA? Or do I wait until tomorrow when I can raise the CYA to optimal levels?

Other useful information.. FC is currently 0(I know it should never of gotten there but it did :[ ) The algae growing is green and its not THAT bad yet pool is still 85% clear. I recently took apart filter and cleaned it and added more DE. Oh DE filter btw.

I'd get the ball rolling and SLAM at 20 CYA.

WalMart, Home Depot and Lowes all have CYA in the pool aisle. They rotate who has it cheaper. I think they all get a turn.

+1 on Newdudes advice. We have plenty of options around us and no reason ever to go into the pool store ever again.
