It's been 6 1/2 days since I began the SLAM process and my pool is finally "black algae free"!!!
Someone pop me in the head if I ever let that happen again.
Thank you to all senior members who have been so helpful and supportive through this past week!!!
I've read so many articles in the last 2 weeks but I'm not positive of what to do first now that all 4 things are done. Yes, I'm adding a fourth thing
since I needed to also be free of black spots. 1. CC is 0 2. passed OCLT 3. water is clear 4. No black spots
Here are my numbers: FC 10
CC 0
Ph 8 (one drop to get to 7.4)
TA 60
CH 230
CYA below 30, black dot completely visible on test
SI .05
Pool water temp is 54 degrees, swg is off, still have pump running. To avoid black algae again, should I keep my FC range a little higher?
