My pump died during Helene and I’m in the market for a new one. I currently have a Hayward VS900 which was installed in 2021. I am wondering if there’s something better in the market that I should consider. If it matters, I have a Pentair Clean and Clear filter.

The filter doesn't matter, its just a dirt collector. For less than the cost of a new VS900 you could try the Waterway PD-270. Its a larger horsepower pump that could be run slower than the VS900 to move the same amount of water for less energy cost.
If you have Hayward automation, stick with the Hayward pumps.

VS900 are only 230/240V pumps.
Huh…Specs section shows 230/115…

Thanks, that's news to me. Never even considered it. We virtually never see a 115V installation in this area.

Thank you…I don’t have automation. Is it worth having?

If you have a Leslie's pool supply in your area you might be able to get the same pump rebranded as a Jacuzzi for a bit cheaper than the Hayward.
