I am in Las Vegas so it just broke 90 and is about to hit 100 already later this week so we want to start using our pool. I turned on the solar on Friday but the pool is still pretty cold. I don’t think I have the right settings to truly heat the pool up properly to take advantage of the Vegas heat. My pool guy is useless and solar guy doesn’t want to touch the pool equipment. And now isn’t the best time to replace my pool guy (and I just don’t have the time or patience to fully maintain the pool myself).
I got solar panels installed on my roof last July. There is 2 sets of 4’x6’ panels with 285 sq ft (85%) solar coverage on the south part of my 2nd floor roof. I have a Hayward controller that is set to 90. I have a pentair intelliflo vs pump. It is set to run from 8am-2pm at 3000 rpm and then from 2-6pm at 2200 rpm. And I have the pool cleaner for floor / wall cleaning.
i have attached pictures of the pump, the valve settings, solar controller and the pipes going up to the solar panels. I added a google street view picture of the solar panels on my roof.
can someone recommend the right settings for
my pump and the valves as this was an issue when we got it last year to find the right settings? And it is my fault for not taking picture / writing it down which I will do this year after I figure them out.
