Hello ! Luckily just found this site! Our issues are: debris floating by skimmer (skimmer has no weir door and only on hole (other is intentionally blocked) and lots of bubbles coming out of return lines. Just installed brand new Hayward filter today. Underground pipes have all been tested and pressure is good. Suction in skimmer basket hole is fine (sucked in hand when testing). Note: with old filter we had lots of bubbles out of return lines too. So looking for help on skimmer and bubbles. Thanks in advance!

If your skimmer has no weir door, then it is not a skimmer.. The weir door is what makes it skim.
I suggest that install a weir door.

Just wanted to say welcome I'm a noob here but this site is open. I know I had issues with mine initially Jim is correct on doors. Good luck and questions are welcome here
