I just retested my pool. The water is 52 so the SWG is not producing chlorine as it is reading cold. I’m not sure testing the water this cold can have an affect so I’m not sure where to turn but I know so far there are some great people on here who can help as I’m newer to this so trying to figure everything out.
1) should I buy a thermal blanket to try and keep the water warmer? The pool does not have a heater, just an emergency freeze should the water temp get to freezing. Currently it is set to 36 degrees. Is this ok?
2) I just retested the water. Attached is an image of what I got as readings. I’m not sure to retest tomorrow when it’s warmer or do what the pool calculator tells me?
I posted today’s results and my results from 11/30 (which I added Borax and baking soda per the recommendations.) The first 4 pics are today’s tests. The addition 3 images are 11/30’s test and adds.
Thank you for your help in advance. I don’t want to screw this up.

I would think in your climate if you circulate the water when the temperature falls below freezing, you should be fine. The caveat is a power interruption. You should be prepared to drain the pump, heater, and other surface equipment if you lose power during cold temperatures that may persist for some time.
The heater should NOT be set up like that. Operating the heater at a low temperature setting will destroy the heat exchanger due to condensation.
The only test that can be effected by low water temperatures is CYA. Let pool water come to room temperature before that test.
You need to add chlorine. Raise your FC to a level for a CYA of 70 using the non-SWCG chart. Right now, your pool is NOT a SWCG pool as you are not generating your chlorine with the SWCG.
