i tried to make my hose inlet bigger on my colman 26x52 pool to get better pump flow and have less problems. And now i have a leak on the bottom of the inlet jet on the a side inside the pool these pictures show what is going on i have tried. Flex seal tape that hasn't worked if any ideas on how i can repair this would be much appreciated. Or is my pool inlet unable to be repaired.GEDC0784.JPGGEDC0786.JPGGEDC0787.JPG

You might be able to use some silicone to seal it?

Is the hole you cut big enough? I know that sounds backwards, but when I cut my hole the first time I had a leak. Someone on here suggested I may have cut it too snug, so I went back with my xacto knife and made sure none of the pool vinyl was on the threads of the attachment. That worked for me. Also, make sure your gasket is on the inside of the pool.

Thanks for the reply about cutting the hole bigger i believe there are a few threads around the side and a little at the top. The problem is the bottom thread there is a little cut in there i believe causing the leak. Im now really afraid to cut anything else. Im hoping to try to seal around the hole as was suggested by the post above you. Just not sure how much i should put on and where exactly would be the best way and best place to apply.

You're over thinking this. Just clip off the top of the caulk tube so that you get about a quarter inch bead, then lay it all the way around the fitting. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. You might want to gently run a moistened finger around the top of the bead to make sure it's pushed into any voids, but you don't have to do that.
