So went to help a buddy with some busted PVC and the pool hadn't been run in months. Got the PVC fixed and I held my breath when we flipped the breaker on the pump. Sure enough the motor smoked....long story short the motor is toast .
The nameplate has dashes where the pertinent data should be and what looks to be a home printed sticker on top, see pics.
Problem is I'm finding multiple motors that might work and I don't know how to ID the proper one or tell the difference between like these 3:
www.inyopools.com
www.inyopools.com
Century (A.O. Smith) 2.0 HP Up Rate Motor, Square Flange 56Y Frame, Single Speed - Model B855 - INYOPools.com - this one looks identical to the installed one down to the rear shaft cover
or all of these basically the same, just different models for OEM pump compatibility? There's only a $40 diffidence between the 3 so price isn't an issue. HP etc. all look the same as well.
