Hello,
First off, I have an above ground pool. My pump quit working at the end of the summer last year. I bought a used pump off Marketplace around 2 months ago, at the start of June. It has been working fine;however, it does not have a on/off switch, so I must plug and unplug to turn it off and on. 5 days ago the motor was running and I unplugged it to run it through the backwash cycle, and plugged it back in and it did not come back on. It did not make a hum, no buzzing sound nothing! I checked with a tester and the cord is getting power all the way into the interior of the housing. It is not the breaker, it is not the outlet, and it is not the capacitor. This kind of motor/pump does not have a capacitor. It is a Gruber Hydro Duraflo model#1438
Franklin Electric
RPM: 3450
V: 115
AMP:40
HP: 3/4
MOD: 03301407
Apparently Not common because I can not find the manual online, no tutorials or troubleshooting. The very little that I could find online were some called this a resistive start motor. I briefly saw something about the switch and the interior maybe the winding of the motor any hope on the if it's fixable or should I just move on and look for a new home please help thank you for your advice in advance.
