Need advice on Chlorine Loss

So I am getting rapid Chlorine loss. Yes it has been extremely hot with the heat wave and I get full sun most of the day but I am running through bleach like it’s going out of style.

All levels balanced from PH to TA and a CYA at 40. Have kept it that way since I started TFP. I have a 15,000 gal pool, Polaris 280 sweep, and a old Hayward filter system.

So. I test my water every other day (we swim everyday), and I have been getting readings with my Taylor Test Kit of 0 FC.

Last night I got a reading of 0 FC again so I added a some chlorine. I actually added a extra so I could figure out Chlorine loss without hitting 0.
13.5 ppm about 20 mins after adding (yeah, went overboard). This morning (so overnight) when I tested I got a reading of 6ppm of FC. That’s a 5.5ppm loss! Overnight! Not even in the hottest, full sun part of the day.

I can switch to testing daily in the heat wave but that’s a lot of chlorine.

What can I do to prevent so much loss? I read about borate levels and adding borax with the muriatic acid, I don’t know my borate level but would this be a good solution? Does it help with Chlorine loss? Any advice?
