I have zodiac mx8 pool cleaner that works great when I’m not changing parts. I’m getting tired of this so does anyone recommend a suction side cleaners that are reliable?

All pool cleaners are going to need part replacement from time to time. I have robot now but before that, this lasted me 10 years with replacing just the treads every couple of years:

Pentair Rebels seem to be pretty solid and are cheap to rebuild. I have a Kreepy Krawly Sandshark (Pentair) - dirt simple to fix and does the job.
Kreepy krawly gets stuck in one of my corners so I can’t use it.
Is the rebel a random moving vac so if it get stuck in a corner it can eventually back up?

Rebel is just wheeled cleaner that does a "random run" around the pool, it has no backup valve. If you need that kind of option, then the MX8 is probably your only choice. Either that or a robot cleaner but both are in the same price range (cheap robots start around $750 or so).
The Rebel works in a pattern as it goes around the pool and will occasionally back up. That is usually enough to get it out of corners.
