Mystery Pool Capacity

I do have a walking ledge. The jury's still out but yes, I've been using 8500 gallons in Pool Math and my results have been pretty much as predicted. I was overshooting using 9000. I adjusted CH from 280 to 350 a couple days ago using the suggested amount of calcium chloride and hit it right on the nose. I've been dosing with muriatic acid to bring down my TA and the resulting PH is missing a little on the high side using the suggested amount indicating maybe 8500 is a tiny bit low but I'm not rechecking PH until 24 hours later so PH is probably rising from the target in that time. I might bump it up a couple hundred gallons at some point to see what happens but for now 8500 seems to be a good number for me.

Just wanted to follow up one more time. I did finally track down the water truck guy and he confirmed four loads of 2k were delivered. With what I added initially with the garden hose the estimate of 8500-9000 gallons of water seems right. I have been using 8800 gallons on the pool app which has been giving me a good result.

Thanks for your tenacity and for following up. I always dose much lower than Poolmath says anyway and then sneak up on the target so so if 8500 is a bit off I'm good with that.

Just to bring this discussion to a close, and for those with the same or similar pool still wondering about the real capacity, I did a complete water exchange and noted the water meter readings. The true capacity of our Carribean Bay ‘Calypso’ model is 8500 gal to the middle of the skimmer.
