Mystery .. air entering system, pump looses prime and occasional blow back at end of cycle

We had our in-ground pool replastered. Systems were restarted including passive solar. The pump is losing prime and air is entering into the system. We have checked all the pipes near the pumps in the filter area and do you not see any leaks. We 've lubricated the o-ring on the pump filter basket. We've cleaned all filter baskets. And we've replaced the large filter cartridges after all the plaster brushing and chemistry for 28 plus days before swimming. If we prime the pump and bleed the air out when it's running we may get 2 or 3 days of operation. But eventually we get either blowback and an empty pump that doesn't prime or an empty pump that doesn't prime. Thinking. Perhaps it's time to somehow inspect the roof plastic piping associated with the solar. Any advice would be very helpful. Plaster people are pointing the fingers at the pump. People. Pump people are pointing the fingers at the plaster, people. And our pool care team is dumbfounded.

Welcome to TFP.

Disable and turn off your solar heat for a week.

Does your pump hold prime?

That either confirms the solar system is the problem or not.

Air leaks come from the suction side. Solar is on the pressure side and any leak will lose water. In addition, even if air got in through a solar pipe leak when the solar is off it feeds into your returns and not your pump basket.

So I doubt your solar system is the problem.

Post pictures of your equipment pad. Especially the suction side of the pump and all valves.
