My little AGP started turning green today!

Here are my current results:

FC 5.4
CC 0.4
PH 7.6
TA 130
CYA. 38-40
temp. 94°

I’ve only been using liquid chlorine and something from Walmart called PHdown.

The pool started getting a little cloudy two days ago. Any advice on what to do next? I did read the pool school book about a month ago and will go through it again but I’m hoping for some direction in the mean time.

Are you sure about your CYA?

You will need to SLAM.

I'm pretty sure! I tested CYA two days ago and again today to see if there was any change but it's the same..I'm using a lot of chlorine and fast. I'm going 24 hours between adding chlorine and it's goes from 5 down to .5 in that time. I've never used stabilizer, should I start ?

Stabilizer is CYA. If it truly is 30, you don’t want to raise it any more until after you SLAM.

Isn't there also some kind of stabilizer you add to save the chlorine?

Yes, as I mentioned, stabilizer is CYA. But you don’t want to increase it before you SLAM as it will also increase the chlorine level you will have to maintain.

You should also lower your PH a bit, to 7.2, before you SLAM.
