My Hayward H100ID pool heater made noise

Started my heater and it ran fine then after a hour it started to sound like a truck with a bad muffler idling I shut it off for awhile and restarted it did it again this time it tripped the breaker I noticed the intake and output lines where they attach to the heater had gotten soft I suspect its a overheating problem due to poor water flow through heater

Yes sounds like possibly a broken bypass.

Did it sounds like rocks inside the unit?

Sounded like a vehicle with bad muffler can the bypass be fixed ?

Just noticed you have the small H100ID unit. Not sure there is a bypass in it. That one has a blower motor on it, yes?

Someone needs to take the heater apart and expect the exchanger. Could be a baffle issue inside.
