Thanks. I purchased it through them but for some reason I can't get to my order history on their site. Should be okay though.
Now that you mention it, I see where you're coming from. But I believe it still needs the daylight to scatter/obscure the dot properly, hence why we recommend to not do it under an awning or in the evening. It's such a subjective test you need every last detail going in your favor. You're supposed to do it with the sun to your back anyway, so overcast should be fine.
How close are you getting ? Is the chlorine new with recent date codes ?I add the amount of chlorine pool math suggests but I never get to the suggested FC level. Should I keep adding until I reach 31?
It's possible that the .5 that failed you came after the sun was up. It's why you really have to test it dark on both ends because cutting corners may make it continue when it didn't need to.Looks like I may have actually passed this morning. I was 23 at 11:34 late last night and 21.5 this morning at 7.
30 Mins should be fine.didn't give the chlorine enough time to mix in at half an hour?
Hard to know a date code on my chlorine. It's a carboy from the pool store. They tell me it's fresh, but is it really?Your liquid chlorine may be degraded. Check the date codes & do a confirmation test 30 minutes after adding from the suspected low potency batch so you can adjust dosage accordingly going forward.
If your ph was mid 7’s upon beginning keep going - if not let fc fall to 10ppm & test/adjust ph to 7.2.
Have you ever deep cleaned the sand after dealing with the last algae monster?
If not you may wanna try that.
Check & scrub your ladder/steps inside & out.
Deep Cleaning a Sand Filter
This post will walk you through the anatomy of a sand filter, and then provide a video at the end for how to deep clean your sand filter. The filter used in the photos and videos is a Hayward S180T top mount sand filter. The images are of a similar filter. Obviously not all filters are...www.google.com
In the future- before increasing cya do an oclt so if something is brewing you can slam at a lower cya/fc level.
I'm getting to 22, 23. I just can't figure out why it's so far off from what the app says I need after adding what it tells me to add. Could the high pH be the problem?Welcome BACK !!!

Also, you don't have to wait until bed (?) on the night side. Test at dark and then you can go to bed a bit earlier to make up for getting up a but earlier.
30 Mins should be fine.
