My fear = empty pool and broken pump due to major leak. Does a pool leak detector exist?

Im picturing some device attached magnetically through the pool wall and if it no longer detects water it sets off an alarm.....or similar thing but in a pipe

You can add a flow switch that’s connected to a controller, after15 mins of zero flow said controller will shut off the pump and protect it from over heating.

So far - no, not that just alert u of low water level. There are however auto fill devices that add water to the pool when they sense it is low. As far as i know they don’t alert you either.
They are mostly in use on inground pools.
I have a camera facing my pool that sends me motion alerts to an app on my phone.
I have it directed where i can see the skimmer to see a blockage & the water level among other pool conditions.
