My FC went on vacation

The Pool has been running great, Been maintaining 60 CYA and 9.0 FC, and loosing almost 0 FC overnight and 2.0 during the day

We got rain yesterday and I vacuumed, FC was 4.0 and CYA 70

Added Chlorine to 11.0 and this morning its still 11.0 FC and 0 CC

Does rain Kill chemicals that bad ?

My pool also lives next too two big mesquite trees that are in pollen season and impossible to keep the pool clean.

I suspect your water fell victim to the recent changes in the environment (pollen, etc) and that simply put a lot of stress on the water. You increased it right away which is perfect. Now continue to watch it. If it drops again, you might consider one more Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.

So you’re saying you lost 5ppm instead of 2ppm in 24hrs when it rained? Was it a ton of rain??
It’s getting to be the time of year when fc demand increases because of uv so I suspect its a little of that + the extra crud that got washed into the pool, not necessarily the rain itself persay.
Keep an eye on the overnights & sure your bets with more chlorine aiming for high target so you have a good buffer.
FC/CYA Levels
The average loss in a residential outdoor pool is anywhere from 2-5ppm/day depending upon the time of year - folks in your area at peak season usually trend towards the higher end.
Sometimes there’s just high demand days but you’re on top of it so kudos
