So my beloved aquabot stopped suddenly and the fuse needed replacement. The pool place didn't have the exact fuse, gave me a nearly identical one. So I put in the new fuse but when I pressed the ON button, smoke came out from around the button. I unplugged it and found that the plug at the end of the cable to the actual aquabot had melted.

If the actual aquabot hasn't been damaged, and I can find a new transformer (power supply), can I also get a replacement cable?

Welcome to TFP.

A fuse blowing is a protective device and indicating an underlying problem. Replacing the fuse without fixing why the fuse blew rarely works.

I suspect that it is time for a new pool cleaner.
