Mustard and/or Black Algae

Pools can pop out of the ground when drained, so make sure to consult a local professional expert to make sure that you can drain without floating the pool.
They told me to exchange water by draining by putting the pump on the first step and draining to the step and refilling. We need to redo the process multiple times. They recommended for decreasing cyr level

Are you new to the property?

Can you show the system?

Can you post all chemistry readings?

You can add water and drain at the same time at an equal flow rate so that the water level stays consistent.

The two main copper stains are turquoise and gray to black.

Turquoise stains usually happen first.

The turquoise gets turned black by chlorine, especially by calcium hypochlorite.

Your plaster was probably originally white and now it has a turquoise color.

we just replaced the heater since the previous one was leaking
The heater contributed to the copper levels.

The water chemistry was probably bad (low pH etc.) and the tabs were probably used in the skimmer or a feeder, which can corrode the copper heat exchanger in a heater.

They might have added copper algaecide or used other types of copper as well.
