I am on the jersey shore and I am about to close my pool but for the last few weeks I have an issue with mustard algae I have hard tile to get rid off.
Should I just close it hoping that the cold winter will kill them or is it going to be an issue in the spring and what is the best way to get rid of them ?

The cold water doesn’t kill algae- it just slows its growth, it will still be there waiting for you in the spring if you don’t deal with it now.
Its SLAM Process time. If you believe its mustard algae (most of the time its not- normal algae can be many colors) then AFTER throughly completing the slam process & passing ALL 3 end of slam criteria you would then follow the MA protocols
