Mustard algae and robotic cleaner

So after reading about how to get rid of mustard algae, I guess I need to disinfect all my equipment like brushes and floaters because they can/will introduce more spores and I’ll have to restart the process.

how do I disinfect my robotic cleaner? I have a Natalies dolphin cc plus. I would hate to use it if it has spores all over it. Don’t want to damage it if I just dump chlorine into it. My buddy told me just to submerge it in my pool when I shock it. Let me know if I need to worry about it.
