Murky Pool - Need to fix ASAP

Hello,

My pool is a poor condition right now so I was wondering what is the most efficient and fastest way to bring my pool back to normal before my family come over for a swim next week?

Hi there Cradock- you need a good test kit and lots of bleach from the looks of things.

Without knowing what the chemistry readings of your current water are it isn't possible to tell you what you need to do.

The source for a good lab kit in your neck of the woods is Clear Choice labs. Google them and see how fqst you can obtain a test kit.

Until then I'd add a gallon of liquid chlorine bleach per day and brush, keeping the filter running and when you get your test kit in hand give us these results:
FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA

Then we can advise you better about what is going on in your pool (perhaps other than just algae)....

I'm finding it difficult to find one in my city.
I can see a '4 in 1 test kit' to test 'Chlorine/Bromine, pH, Total Alkalinity and Acid Demand.'

and some free water testing services at some of the local pool stores.

Neither of those testing are no good, perfect repeatable results and trouble free water depend on your testing.
