Multiport valve rattle only in filter position

I've noticed a rattle in my filter multiport valve so I did a backflush (it was due anyway). Backflush ran smoothly and quietly. It also ran quietly in the rinse setting... I was hoping maybe something had made its way into the housing and got rinsed out... But after turning it off and moving back to "Filter" the rattle is back. I do always turn the system off before moving the valve and always turn in the same direction.
No bubbles in any of the returns, everything else seems fine... Did something rattle loose? Is there something I can check?
The valve and filter are 2 years old.

You can disassemble the MPV and check the internal parts and spider gasket.

@RVO Well, I opened the valve but couldn't find any issues. I bought a spring replacement kit... I noticed there was only a metal washer on one side of the spring, so when I rebuilt it, I kept the old washer, replaced the spring, AND added the new metal washer to the other end of the new spring (it couldn't hurt to have a metal wear surface on both sides, right???)
Unfortunately, it's still doing the same thing... "rattles" in the filter position, and quiet in the other positions... Ugh!!! I don't get it. Sorry, I can't be of more help. It sounds like air is getting in somewhere, but I don't have any bubbles showing up in the pool, so I'm not sure.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears.

@DocBob , did your kit include the 2ea nylon washers that go on the stem? Also looks like there should be another wash at the top directly under the handle That's what I'm seeing on the parts breakdown linked below.

@RVO , basically the same questions for you as for the OP (DocBob) in post # 5. Also referencing the Pentair parts list link below. If your issue persists, we may split your posts to a separate thread from DocBob to avoid a potential thread hijack situation. Best to keep the scenarios separate in case the discussion gets longer. We'll see.
