MultiCyclone pre filter

Hi All,
I searched threads for this and found some mention many many years ago.
Was wondering if anyone has tried it.
I came across it recently and the idea of it looks great, especially with cartridge filters. Think Dyson.

I clean my cartridge filter once per year and don't really "need" to. This unit doesn't seem like it would hold very much so I would end up cleaning it multiple times per year (probably every week). So I guess I don't see the point. It might be useful for someone who has a filter that is too small for the pool but that is really masking the larger problem.

Using these to line my skimmer basket keeps 99% of the "particulates" and junk from ever entering my filter. Prior to using these, I would not only have to empty my skimmer basket weekly, but I'd have to crack open my pump and clean out the pump strainer as well. Since using these, I never have to open my pump strainer lid.

I'm not saying the "cyclone" wouldn't work as advertised, I just think it's totally unnecessary.
