I am looking to replace my current backwash valve with a new multi-port valve but choosing the right one has proven to be confusing.
I have a Pentair Triton TR-100C sand filter.
It appears that there are two multi-port type valves. 261050 and 261055 that may fit my filter. To make it more confusing, some of the documentation appears that each product number has a sand and a DE version.
How can I break this down so as to find and order the correct multi-port valve for my application.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Usually there are not multiple options for a multi-port for a given filter. The DE and sand versions are certainly different and should have different part numbers.

The only reason I can think of there being 2 for a given filter would be whether they were sized to be used directly with 1.5" or 2" plumbing.

I think you want the 261055 ... the 50 is for DE filters.
