Moxie Outdoor Bleach at Lowe’s

I needed to shock a little and was at Lowe’s and they were out of normal bleach so I picked this up. It wasn’t until after I added 3 gallons to my pool that I realized there was extra ingredients here. From the label…

Contains Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Hydroxide, Surfactants and Silicate.

So do I need to worry here or did I just get diluted bleach?

May cause some foaming- it will eventually go away- don’t buy that one anymore.

They could have several different types of bleach - some with and some without the additives listed in that thread.

Nobody knows where there pools threshold for surfactants/polymers is, until it starts foaming. Typically it takes repeated use so we reccomend against them in general. I cringe every week at BJs seeing everyone load their carts with chlorox but they don't know it a problem until it's a problem.

3 bottles likely wouldn't foam anyone up, but YMMV as always. Obviously if they haven't been added, deputize them for laundry or outdoor furniture cleaning.
