Been a lurker for the last few years, just checking in from time to time to see what was new. But we retired & moved about 190 miles north from our old place (with a pool). A bit smaller pool this time as we downsized the house and yard. So, time to jump back in the water, so to speak.

We did some looking around, asked neighbors, and picked a contractor. Site prep & dig is done, shotcrete sprayed, and now curing. They are currently 2 weeks ahead of the schedule.

Of course comments are welcomed. Build particulars:
Mostly rectangular 15X30 with 3-1/2-foot shallow, 7-foot deep end, 8-inch thick shotcrete, paver coping and ~1100 sq.ft. deck/patio area, SGM aggregate plaster
5 returns, usual drain (channel) & skimmer parts on the suction side
2-1/2-inch PVC on suction and return lines. Return lines are looped around pool
Pentair equipment suite: EasyTouch, Intelliflo3, Clean & Clear RP 150, Intellichlor IC-40, Microbrite lights
Aquacal SQ125 heat pump
Screened enclosure

I would suggest getting the IntelliCenter instead of the Easytouch. The Easytouch has been discontinued by Pentair. Best to get the new technology.
