2 speed a.o. Smith motor maybe 3 years old. Started making a clicking noise (like a card in bicycle spokes). Maybe a stick in the rotor? I usually only run on high speed for 2 hours a day, but been running 24/7 for a couple days to clear up some gunk from deck resurfacing. That's when it started, but clicks on high or low. Flow and pressure seem good.

Other issue is if I have valves from drain and skimmer wide open, sounds like air is rushing through pump, but if either is closed half way it's quiet (that was before it started clicking, but still does it).

Very small amount of air (like a 1" bubble) at top. It's like more water is flowing than pump can handle.

Nothing on outside clicking. I'll get into it tomorrow, turned it down to low, not so bad. Just looked it up, turns out it's 6 years old, how time flies!
