I'm very close to buying and installing myself a Moov MI650 Heat Pump 65,000 BTU's. My Gallons are 14650 Intex 16x32 Above Ground Pool which I love! 4 years now. This is a variable speed heat pump that only needs a 30 amp breaker number 12 Romex I'll use a #10 for my 80 foot run. Only needs 28 gallons a minute flow from my pump. I just measured today and I have a flow rate of 42 gpm. I live in Pensacola, plan on letting this run 24-7 12 months of the year. It will only come on if the temp drops below my 84 degree pool water setting.
So who here is tired of closing/not swimming in their pool and runs and swims in their pool all year? Any hints or advice that you have for me. Please share your experiences using a heat pump to heat your pool!
