My pool water coming out of my returns when the SWG and Heater are running- I turned on my new Polaris QT 1.5hp 240v installed about two months ago. It was working fine until today- I turned it on and BOOM! The top blew off, and some parts went sky high. Scared the pants off of me. Could it have been hydrogen gas accumulated in the spa air line?

Most likely not.
The spa blower is on a separate plumbing line straight to the spa.
Capaticators blow up when the electrical circuit is bad or they get too much power.

I have seen milky water when a salt cell is dirty of full of calcium or when it is malfunctioning.

How is your salt and calcium levels?

B

Salt is about 3400ppm and Calcium is 250. The hydrogen gas theory was just a thought since it blew up pretty bad. I was not thinking capacitor- no tripped breaker. All the equipment is new and the elctric service is new as well. Polaris is sending somebody out to evaluate the blower.
