Metal Stain -Copper

Remember that vinyl pools don't typically need calcium. Some people become concerned about CH for heaters, but it's a low pH that is much more destructive to a heater core. So if you do decide to add CH,keep it to a minimum. Exchanging water was the right move. :goodjob:
Should finish exchange Friday. Water drop in temp from 87 to 83 so not bad. Saturday can check water chemistry. Won’t know Cooper until next week

Ok water exchange completed . CL 3.25 PH 7.5 Hardness 230 ALK 106 CYA 44 Need to get a copper test at pool store which might not be until Friday as they are only open Monday-Wed-Friday and Im gone Monday and Wednesday .Good news no staining so think Copper is better. Warm weather has helped as back to almost 85F doing a three day drain and fill

A couple things:
1. In the future, please post your test results as follows as it's much easier for us to review:
FC
CC
CYA
PH
TA
CH

2. Refresh my memory, what test kit are you using? Please add to your signature. The numbers posted od not appear to be from a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006.
3. Did you do a 100% water exchange, or only lower to about 1-2 feet? I ask because new water has no CYA in it, but you are still showing a CYA of over 40.
