Mesh winter cover has tons of algae in it and other debris

We have a 30 foot round pool that we use a mesh winter cover on. Usually I am good about taking it off before algae and debris build up but not this year. How do I keep the debris that is on top from dumping into the pool when I open it? Siphoning only keeps pulling water from below on to the top.

We are trying the first two but 30 feet means the majority of the gunk is 12 feet or more into the pool. We have thought about trying to pull the cover tauter a little at a time to try to get it our of the water and then get in and lift it off. but it is still so wet out back (never ending rain is what has pushed us back in opening) that we sink into the mud when we try to do it.
