Merlin pool covers

I currently have a Merlin 32x16 Dura Mesh pool cover that was used with my old pool before it was remodeled. My old pool had the aluminum coping and concrete decking with the brass anchors. My new pool has travertine decking and no separate coping. The other big difference is a new water feature with 3 separate waterfall spouts. Its basically a 15’x2’x2’ box that is adjacent to the edge of the pool. Unfortunately, I cannot install any anchors in this area because of the height of the water feature. I may need to have another Merlin cover designed around the new water feature obstruction. Has anyone seen this kind of design? Seems like it would be difficult to keep the cover taut for the 15’ where there are anchors on one side, but no anchors on the other side to counteract the tension.

Eyebolts are installed on the water feature wall at the level of the cover and a steel cable is run through the eyebolts that the cover clips onto. That anchors the cover onto the wall.

hmm...seems that would be aesthetically unpleasant, but I don't see another way. Thanks for the info.

When the pool is open the steel cable is removed. All you have are some eyebolts in the wall that are really not visible unless you look closely.

Post a pic of the wall we are discussing.

You put 1 inch eyebolts on the left and right side of the wall and maybe 3 or 4 along the wall.

Install the eyebolts in the grout line so no tile needed to be drilled for it.

If you look closely at this pic you can see the eyebolts and cable on my spa wall that my cover clips to on two sides. My cable runs from anchors in my deck along two sides of the spa wall.
