Melted liner!

Anyone ever seen anythulike this? I was not away when this happened, i was not working on or around pool, no pool chemicals or other used near this area, no tools use around area, no strange toys or equipment used in pool, total mystery, completely stumped!!

Probably a refractive effect with water/cover/sun.

I would guess that there was a concentrated beam of light from a window.

It's a known thing. Vinyl siding is sometimes melted.

I recall a thread or two where a similar thing happened.

Cover Burns

We have had our in ground pool for 3 years. We are on our 3rd cover. Solid cover with water bags. The first cover was fine until April, when holes started to appear in the one corner. A few feet over, more holes. I assumed bugs? Birds? Maybe something was spilled on the cover that caused...

Vinyl liner getting frequent holes where sun concentrates

I have a vinyl Kafko liner that was installed in 2011. Since we have owned the house in July 2014, I have had to patch dozens of dime to half dollar sized holes where the sun reflects off windows onto the pool liner. Has anyone else had this problem? I was told by my pool guy that it could be...
