Im pretty sure my FC is super high due to my SWG never shutting down for low temp. If I use 20ml of water instead of 10ml, can I just use one drop of reagant and count each one as 1FC until the water clears instead of 0.5? This what I did and it took 60 drops to clear up. Is my FC really that high?

You need to use 5ml of water not 20ml for 1 drop to equal 1ppm.

If it took 60 drops in 20ml of water that means is would take 30 drops in 10ml, which means your FC is about 15ppm. No big deal unless you have zero CYA.

Once you know where your FC is, can't you just dial the SWG down a bit and/or reduce the run time?

My SWG runs all year, which I think is a blessing. In winter, I just run it for a few hours (maybe 3) on 12.5% to 25% (increments go in 1/8s with my SWG).

That’s will I will most likely do this year. Typically in the winter when it gets cold
I stop using the SWG but it hasn’t really been cold here for an extended time as of late.

Ugh youre right... math was never my strong point.
Just so you have it and can easily find it for reference (and future newb readers don't get confused by the '20' listed above)

5ml sample each drop is 1 FC
10ml sample each drop is .5 FC. (1/2)
25ml sample each drop is .2 FV. (1/5)
